Center for Future Banking — MIT and Bank of America
Thanks to James Gardner at BankerVision for pointing the way to a fascinating new program — The Center for Future Banking.
A five-year collaboration between MIT and Bank of America, it brings together bankers and academics to think about the future, conduct seminars, and most recently, run an intelligent and easy to read blog about what they are doing.
In the center’s words, it provides a unique opportunity to grow banking in innovative ways that respond to the evolving marketplace as well as customer behavior, preferences, and trends.
Here are some ideas we’re thinking about RIGHT NOW
• “How can every customer be empowered with the knowledge and tools to take better control of their financial futures?”
• “How will banking interactions evolve as a customer’s physical and virtual worlds become completely intertwined?”
• “How will social networks and mobile platforms transform customers’ banking experiences, making it easier, more convenient, and better integrated with their daily lives?”
This looks worth following with its serious intellectual power, participation from MIT faculty and guest speakers from other institutions.
